musicsound samples

All recordings have been made using a standard dynamic mic (Shure SM58) positioned in front of the soundboad around the bridge area, and imported flat with no effects or processing. Apologies to sound engineers everywhere! Better recordings are coming soon.

Steve Tilson playing Dinsdale OO Steve Tilston, a terrific singer songwriter and guitarist, noodling around on a brand new baby OO (about 2 weeks old!). Steve will come back and record the same again in 6 months and a years time, so that you can hear how the instrument has developed.

Gordon Tyrrall playing Dinsdale OO Here's the same OO being played by Gordon Tyrrall. Gordon's a lovely traditional singer and performer with a real fine feeling for his playing. He starts with a slow traditional Scottish tune and then gets into noodling around the fingerboard.

Gary Boyle playing Dinsdale OO Another wonderful guitarist Gary Boyle playing the OO but this time jazz rather than finger-picking style.

Please check back soon for other new samples at regular intervals.
